Video Review
Skoda’s all-electric Enyaq lineup just got a serious performance upgrade. Meet the new Enyaq, built to impress with sharp design and a healthy dose of power under the bonnet. This and the new Enyaq coupe are the range-toppers, combining premium style with serious capability, and they’re here to take the brand’s electric ambitions up a notch.
Performance
Underneath, both the RS and Coupe share a dual-motor setup pushing out a hefty 340hp and 550Nm of torque, which translates to a 0–100km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds. The chassis has been slightly lowered, 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear, to help sharpen the handling. For those who want a more tailored ride, the optional adaptive suspension setup offers 15 different damping settings.
Range and Charging
The Enyaq RS comes equipped with Skoda’s latest 79kWh battery (usable), offering up to 560km of WLTP range in the SUV version and 570km in the sleeker Coupe, thanks to its more aerodynamic design. On longer trips, you’ll appreciate the fast-charging capability, DC charging at up to 185kW can get you from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes. AC charging comes in at 11kW for home or workplace setups, taking around 8.5 hours for a full top-up.
Design and Interior
Visually, Enyaq RS stands out with its blacked-out detailing, sharp body lines, and bold wheel designs, 20-inch as standard, or optional 21s with unique aerodynamic inserts. The signature Crystal Face lighting has been updated, while the aggressive RS look continues with high-gloss black accents, a full-width rear reflector, and an exclusive Mamba Green colour option that’s bound to turn heads.
Inside, you’ll find a sporty, well-equipped cabin with heated front seats, carbon-look dash inlays, and Skoda’s signature three-spoke RS steering wheel. A 13-inch touchscreen sits at the centre of the dash, backed up by a 5-inch digital driver display. Want more tech? The optional head-up display adds a slick augmented reality overlay.
Cost Considerations
Irish pricing is still under wraps, but these will sit at the top of the Enyaq range. For reference, the current flagship Enyaq Sportline 85X comes in at around €54,250, so expect the RS models to come in slightly above that, though we’ll have to wait for final numbers to know for sure.
Verdict
Skoda’s new Enyaq RS duo combines everyday practicality with sporty flair and impressive performance. With sleek design, great range, and serious charging speeds, they’re shaping up to be strong contenders in the performance EV space. We can’t wait to take one out on Irish roads for a full review.
