Tesla Announces First Industry Insights Forum to Accelerate Ireland’s Move to Sustainability

Tesla Ireland is launching a new cross-industry forum aimed at accelerating the country’s shift to electric transport and a sustainable energy future.

The inaugural Industry Insights Forum will take place at the Tesla Centre Cork on Wednesday, 30th April, bringing together a diverse panel of voices from across industries to share their perspectives on advancing sustainability in Ireland.

Covering key themes such as EV adoption, energy infrastructure, and transport policy, the event will encourage open, cross-industry discussion. While hosted by Tesla, the event is brand-neutral and open to all, providing a unique platform for collaboration across sectors. Attendees will also get a firsthand look at Tesla’s full sustainable ecosystem, from test drives in the latest Tesla models, to an appearance by Optimus Bot. Register your interest here.

With just 125,000 EVs currently on Irish roads, the country has a long way to go to reach the Government’s 2030 target of 1 million EVs. Charging infrastructure remains a key challenge, with only 2,500 public charge points island-wide, placing Ireland 18th in the EU for chargers per 100km of road.

The launch of this forum also marks a key milestone for Tesla in Ireland, celebrating the delivery of its 10,000th vehicle and the introduction of the New Model Y, building on a year where the Model 3 became the best-selling EV in the country.

A Practical, Grounded Agenda

The half-day session will feature a moderated panel discussion and extended audience Q&A, prioritising open dialogue over presentations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network, connect with peers, and experience the New Model Y and Legacy Model Y on test drives.

Confirmed Panellists:

  • Melanie Naughton, Country Manager – Tesla Ireland
  • Andy McKie, Project Developer – Tesla Supercharging Ireland
  • Russell Vickers, CEO & Co-Founder – Future Mobility Campus Ireland
